Dream cubby house that can accomodate both little kids and bigger kids.
Purchased only two years ago, and selling regretfully because of move into the city where we unfortunately can't fit it.
The cubby is in fantastic condition, primarily because it was purchased from a very reputable builder (DFR cubbies Melbourne) and then painted by a professional painter to seal the exterior wood.
Has everything a child could possibly dream of for pretend play and loads of outdoor adventures...large interior space with skylight so it is always light and bright inside, barn doors (great for playing shops), verandah with picket fence and planter boxes, an escape hatch and trap door that leads to external fort and big slide.
While it was assembled our kids LOVED playing in it, especially when they had friends over or when we had birthday parties. We attached a steering wheel, telescope and pirate flag to the outside fort for my 4 year old son who didn't come inside for about a month after we installed the cubby. Our 10 year old spent lots of time in there too...especially sitting on the balcony making lavender chains to decorate the front of it. It is such a large cubby that it was basically like having an extra room out the back and it was big enough for my husband and I to play in there with them too at times. It was basically watertight too. I often took my little ones out there when it was raining and we needed a change of scenery and some cabin fever relief away from the main house.
Painted purple with white trim and dark stain decking (white trim looks a bit grubby now because of all the dirt the kids tipped over it planting things in the window boxes).
Dimensions - 2400 x 2500mm. The internal playspace is 2400 x 1800mm with a 700 mm verandah out front and an extra 90x90cm Fort off to the right side with a 2.5 metre slide coming off it. Comes with elevation kit (about 2 feet off the ground).
Already disassembled and ready to be moved. Anyone who has kids and the space for this beautiful house will get loads of use out of it for a long time to come. A quality cubby like no other I've seen.
